What is Dying on Hills?
I'm a weekend warrior mom who likes to kill myself to get on top of high places. I also like to host open discussion around topics we're often told to overlook. Mainly I'm looking to help small businesses get their ultralight gear into the hands of more people. This matters because most gear is targeted to and built for the same type of person. The trail belongs to us all, so why can't we find gear that fits?
Collecting and sharing data points about small gear companies. Is gear made in the USA or overseas with the same price tag? Is there information on pack comfort for women? Is sizing inclusive?
How does gear perform in real life? What quirks, surprises, and fails happen? What uses aren't listed that the gear performs under?
Sometimes we need to die on hills. It's okay to point out topics you care about and work together to find solutions. Lots of gear works for lots of bodies. Let's help them find each other.
